Great Sioux Reservation

The Great Sioux Reservation was a vast area of land in the northern Great Plains set aside in the 19th century for the Lakota Sioux and related tribes, encompassing much of present-day South Dakota and surrounding regions before being repeatedly reduced by the U.S. government.
