English Interregnum government

The English Interregnum government was the republican regime that ruled England, and later Britain, between the execution of Charles I in 1649 and the Restoration of Charles II in 1660, encompassing the Commonwealth, the Protectorate under Oliver and Richard Cromwell, and subsequent transitional councils.
